Technical Requirements

The O&A is printed direct-to-plate from electronic files created in Adobe InDesign for the Mac.

Electronic:
Electronic artwork must be submitted in electronic format in Adobe Pagemaker 7.0 or Adobe CS: Photoshop, InDesign, or Illustrator formats for the Macintosh. KAL PUBLICATIONS CANNOT ACCEPT ADS CREATED WITH MS PUBLISHER. Ads built in Quark must be exported as .eps files with all graphics embedded and fonts outlined. Press quality pdf files (400dpi or higher AT THE CORRECT SIZE) are acceptable. Please submit artwork including all ad copy, graphics and fonts via e-mail to karen@kalpub.com or, if mailing, Zip disk, CD or DVD to KAL Publications, Inc., 559 S. Harbor Blvd. Ste. A, Anaheim, CA 92805. It is advisable to provide all graphical artwork in the .TIFF or .EPS file formats.
